Maurice Joshua Mix
by Terry Matthew | posted July 14, 2008 | Audio Archives
As part of our July 2008 cover story, Chicago House Music DJ and producer Maurice Joshua sent us this mix profiling his sound. Many of you outside the city of Chicago may remember him as simply "Maurice", the name under which he recorded his 1989 classic "This is Acid". Maurice has been cranking out tracks since that day, reworking a number of R&B hits for the dancefloor as well as staking his claim with his own productions.
You can check out Maurice on the web at mauricejoshua.com and myspace.com/mauricejoshua, or in person if you're in Chicago this July 14th at Boom Boom Room (2200 N. Ashland, 9pm-4am).
