YouTube has made celebrities out of more than the sneezing panda and the bulldog on a skateboard. Three months ago, Scott Hobbs, an engineering student at the University of Dundee, UK, posted video clips of a revolutionary new product he was working on, which projects audio waveforms on to two touchscreen turntables and allows a DJ to directly manipulate them. Three months later, his internet fame (or rather that of his initial prototype featured in the videos) has been written up in DJ Magazine, URB and, of course, 5 Magazine's website:
