Nick Holder :: "Time" (Wahoo Mix)
Review by Sean Smith | Published June 2008 | Review Archives
For those who don't know, Nick Holder from Toronto has been producing since the early 1990s on his label DNH as well as for many of the top House labels from around the world.
"Time" is a vocal track featuring the voice of Sacha. The vocal style is very close to some of the vox used on tracks by the likes of Restless Soul, Robert Strauss and Swell Session. On remix duties we have Wahoo (Dixon and George Levin) from Germany who produce music regularly on the Sonar Kollectiv imprint.
This production is full of funk and soul while still remaining fresh with today's standards. The original production is great but to me the remix is what really brings out the most of this song and pushes the vocals forward for the dancefloor. This is not a laid-back house track at all - this one won't let you sit still, and believe me, you'll feel it.
