Ralf GUM feat. Monique Bingham :: "Kissing Strangers"
Review by Terry Matthew | Published February 2008 | Review Archives
Monique Bingham's latest features her powerful vocals held back in a kind of disco/R&B hybrid. She does get a chance to cut back at the bridge, but never really lets go in the way that you want it. This one is probably for the discohead in your life that hasn't bought a new record in 20 years and has no intention to... so surprise him with some disco made in the last decade! I would have given this a pass based on the first few mixes until Frankie Feliciano got hold of it. He kicks the tempo and the energy up a notch and really plays off Monique's vocal well - giving the production a few of the highs and lows lacking in the original mix.
