Rob aka DJ Ville recently returned to Chicago from Las Vegas and sent us this disco-inspired mix entitled "Mary Jane" to let us know he was back on the scene.
DJ Ville has been mixing since the mid 1980s, inducted into House Music in 1982 by the legendary Hotmix 5 on WBMX. Prior to moving to Vegas, he played at a number of spots in Chicago and also had his own radio show at Northern Illinois University for two years. While in Vegas, DJ Ville spun at places such as V Bar, Foundation Room, Moorea Beach, Risque, Club Rio, Teatro, Everyday People, Westwing, Soul Kitchen, Fuel, Mix, Fleur de Lys and Midnight Snack.
His style is rooted in what he calls the "foundation of House": Disco, Funk, Soul, R&B, Electro, Jazz Fusion and Italo-Disco. You can reach him at myspace.com/djville83 and myspace.com/morethanmusik05.
