A Night at Linda Redd's

me and Linda taking pictures of my poor drunken Rees at her house

Friday evening I go check out my friend Osiris' play called "Defiance" at the Next Theater in Evanston, then in a wave of extreme fatigue went home and crashed for an ungodly 20 hours. Yes I did.

Saturday night after much catch-up work, we go to Da Basement party on 105th, and party with Angie, Face, Linda Redd and Joezana (hey girl!) Pumpin' John (one of the hosts/DJs of the party put on bartending duties) made his first Long Island via our sketchy recollection of what goes in it, and it was SUPER STRONG. I remember giving my boy Rees most of mine because it was so potent. By the end of the night the other host Philanderer had to "assist" (more like carry) Rees to my car, because he had downed what was probably close to 14 shots in under an hour. Linda offered for us to come over while he got some of the drunk out of him. We set his motionless body down on the couch and proceeded to yak away in the other room. Occasionally we would hear this loud THUMP!...run back into the living room and find him crashed onto the ground with his pants down. After taking pictures of him, we adjust his clothes and lay him back on the couch, go back into the kitchen, until we hear another THUMP! and have to do the whole damn thing over again.

Eventually Rees wakes up and joins Linda and I, and we find ourselves making an "Osama" salad, which consisted of dumping all the different kinds of chips in her pantry into a giant bowl and throwing tomato sauce over it. Eventually we get thirsty again, so on Sunday at 3pm, we go to the store to get more beverages. After many more hours we eventually run out of steam, and Rees and I crash in her couch while she sleeps in her bedroom. We wake up early Monday morning and fill our prune-like bodies with gallons of water. Rees has 3 mysterious bumps in his head and a very painful groin muscle (I think I recall Linda kicking him a few times to see if he was alive. She and I, good doctors we would not make.) We head home after a long party marathon and eat nutritious junk food.
