/Heavyfeet are a couple of cats with a label (Stamp Beats) and a pretty forward-thinking approach to building an indie dance music label in the days when a "hit" record typically sells fewer copies than a "completely crap" record a generation ago.

Their 12x12 project (begun in April 2010) featured a new single every month, each with a fairly different sound - and the original mix of each month's cut was given away for free. See, for instance, this post; that right there is a must-read for any artist presuming to release new music these days.) The full 12x12 project is now bundled all together on iTunes.

This is Heavyfeet's latest release (and first of 2011), "All I Want", featuring a rich acid build about 1:30 in & some bouncy, clubby beats. Check 'em at heavyfeetmusic.com, on facebook and twitter.

About Heavyfeet

HeavyFeet, a name synonymous with beats, breaks and bass. From their remixes of DJ Zinc and Roisin Murphy to their recent 'Sawdust & Sultanas EP' on New York based label, Plant Music, this Mancunian production duo are busy showing artists such as Skream, Todd Terry, MJ Cole and Roska that they are here for the longhaul. Grown up garage and heavy house flavours combined with solid production has helped their output find its way into many a Serato cart and CD wallet, with their steady stream of singles via their '12x12' project (12 different tipped singles released over 12 months, each featuring a different vocalist and remixer) reaching a further band of supporters including DJ Craze, Diplo, Steve Aoki and Drop The Lime. HeavyFeet, a name to watch in 2011, for sure.
