Disco edits are amazingly popular right now, which means that half of three quarters of all that are made are crap. It's a delicate art: a matter of making changes that really do give the song a new appeal without ripping it straight out of the context of its time and genre.
Some of my favorites - Leonard Part Sixx, Matthew Kyle and of course Dimitri from Paris (or, er, Tokyo) - have some kind of instinctual touch for it that's beyond all understanding, and I'm hereby adding to the list Chicago's own Kid Color.
