The crazy, souled-up Woodstock of House Music returned in 2009 as the Chosen Few DJ crew and several thousand of their closest friends gathered on the South Side of Chicago for this year's Chosen Few Picnic. Though held later than the traditional 4th of July weekend date, this year's picnic still packed them in with tents as far as the eye could see and fantastic opening sets from DJ FLX, Maurice Joshua and Lori Branch. Wayne Williams, Terry Hunter, Alan King, Andre Hatchett, Tony Hatchett, Jesse Saunders and Kim Parham of the Chosen Few once again pulled off the minor miracle of planning a party for 10,000+ people on a shoestring with no violence, no grief, and a good time for all.

Other events receiving consideration include Frankie Knuckles and Ralphi Rosario at SmartBar, Bad Boy Bill at Green Dolphin and DJ Rush at Betty's.
