Our July 2006 issue featured the results of an amazing photoshoot with Chicago House legends Andre Hatchett and Dave Risque. If you're not from Chicago, you might not know who either one of them are. A throwback to the days of strictly local DJ heroes, Andre has been a DJ primarily on the Southside of Chicago for close to 30 years at this point, and one of the founders of the legendary Chosen Few DJ crew that brought House Music to the younger crowd in the era of the Warehouse and the Music Box. Andre rarely travels outside of the city, but is beloved by his fans and possibly more than anyone in Chicago represents what House Music means to the community. Dave Risque is a dancer and the "global groove guru" from the (seemingly dormant) live House band Dave Risque; from Day 1 he's run DJ contests, parties and the like.
