The original release of Traveling In Africa comes from one member of the Brazilian Soul Crew on the Taubate EP, which received heavy chart action from industry heavyweights like Louie Vega, Dr. Bob Jones and Jihad Muhamad. Here label head honcho Stax aka Abicah Soul does some rework action. Tribally percussion and delayed vocal samples carry this track through the intro before it reveals some seductive piano keys and a radiant horn section. Around the halfway point he adds an organ which polishes off the track and makes it a sure to be hit with the deep heads.
