Billie Ray Martin is apparently a sensation in the UK. I'm not sure why - her voice is okay in a deep, vulnerable Lisa Stansfield kind of way, but doesn't show much expression and really smears one hook in a manner that Ashlee Simpson could sympathize with. Most of the remixes of her "Undisco Me" single are of the circuit music/commercial variety, but Edison's Vocal Mix has some understated flair that might be of use when a DJ wants to slow things down or get a little techy. About half of the mix is interesting, then goes down that long dark corridor into sound effect silliness.
