Darryl D'Bonneau :: "Miracles" (Jon Culter Remixes)
Review by Terry Matthew | Published June 2008 | Review Archives
Darryl D'Bonneau's Miracles LP was released in March 207 on Jellybean Soul, but Jon Cutler's remixes of the title track were worth the wait. Marlon D. was the producer of the LP, and his fingerprints are all over the soulful vocals. While it dips into gospel, it's never more than an influence rather than wholesale borrowing. The Club Mix is definitely a groover, while the Groovy Mix is more funky (figure that one out). But who's complaining? There are two solid mixes in this package, plus a Dub and bonus beats for the DJs to make their own groove of D'Bonneau's plea for faith.
