New label Ficus Tree Music hits us with an incredible second release from the explosive new Northern England duo Freaky Behaviour. Every cut on this three track EP is just killer. "Jim Bigswing" kicks off with a little bit of some jazz and then cuts to some ruff n tuff beats just like we like 'em. At the break an MC gets fresh right before the tune explodes into a straight up floor crushing jackin bass groove.

Up next is the jam that's been bouncing around the back of my head as well as all my DJ set since I got this promo. "Keep It Up" just jams with this vocal sample loop over and over, but I find myself still wanting to rock it more and even louder whenever I hear it. It breaks into a good funky synth line to kick up the dust a bit and keeps rocking that super catchy vocal. The last tune "Man Cub" is a nice departure from the other two sweaty messes as it still incorporates very moving beats, but with a much more spacey mellow mood. Reverberated saxophone lines penetrate the space between to add affect. When the tune kicks, this "king of swing" vocal sample sings, which adds a little extra grip to the soundscape. Overall, this release is really solid and gets me all riled up every time I hear it.
