+ Funky Transport: "Love Garden"
:: Farris Wheel
This is an edited version off the Farris Wheel Spring Sampler CD released just prior to the Winter Music Conference in Miami. Out of more than a dozen tracks, "Love Garden" really stood out to me. With the sexy groove and simple chords, I could almost hear the fuzz of a sketchy soundsystem - because a classic track is destined to be played on every caliber of equipment, and I could really see this one blowing up all over the place. The vocal is incredible, with all of the texture of a modern day Sade. It hits just the right tempo, with the proper amount of tension, so this track could be slipped in at any point in a set.
