Hustle + Flow :: The Room Service EP
Review by Chris Hafner | Published January 2008 | Review Archives
New School kids Ryan Kick and Brian Anderson have released some funky tracks under the name "Hustle and Flow" and this 3 track EP proves that their previous releases have been no fluke. They show off their deep side with some hot Rhodes playing on "Locals Only," while "Play It Again" mixes some funky breaks with what sounds like a hyperactive Michael Jackson sample. This is for those who aren't afraid to take a few chances - there's nothing here that will clear a floor but Hustle + Flow don't stick to the safe roads when producing either.
