While nothing can tear me away from my Gospel House, these would force me to reconsider my love for sunshineJesus for at least a few minutes. The info with this EP mentions another JB track, "Got to Get Down" (Control Recordings), which I plan to locate as soon as I'm done boppin' n poppin' around my kitchen to these. Scrilla Villa's original "Find Myself" is crisp like a new Puma tracksuit, with itty-bitty blips that tease your ears into twitching all the way down to your toes. The "Lost It Found It" mix definitely has a rounder bassline but still very much commands that you bring a towel to wipe off the sweat that will inevitably jump from dancer to dancer. If these four were pressed to vinyl, "Oopz" and "The Get Out" would keep this EP from being a one-track wonder. The best parts are on "The Get Out": the wockity, fish-fart, bubbly noises or what sounds to me like a four-count snippet of a UK MC just past halfway on "The Get Out." The bonus is Flapjack's double-wide personality and hilarious descriptions of its material that totally add a huge dash of fun!
