Jacko pres. Tony Loreto :: The Spirit EP
Review by DJ Lil John | Published March 2008 | Review Archives
This is a three track EP from Tony Humphries' label. "Anthem" has a cute, early hours groove... No fancy work, just a decent dubby instrumental groove to put you in the mood for... whatever you're in the mood for...
"Doo (Doo A Dub Edit)": Yes! Here's the "go to" track on this EP... It starts with a sort of uptempo grungy rhythm, complete with a classic triangle clangin' along in the background. From there, it moves into a "doo-doo" melody that will stay in your head all day! And, just when you thought that was it, halfway through comes a funky piano ditty and keyboard bassline, layered with a Gary's Gang-like drumloop... You gotta play this LOUD to feel it!
"Doo (Gimmick Mix)": Basically the sequel to the "Doo A Dub Edit", perfect for those that just gotta have more "Doo" in their life! Another welcomed addition to your ear candy music collection.
1. Doo (Gimmick Mix)
2. Doo (Doo A Dub Edit)
3. Anthem
