You've certainly heard "LaLaLaLaLa" before, and it's the centerpiece of this four song EP on Cajual. This track been everywhere in 2007, reminding everyone of Cajmere's instinctual and highly unique sense of sound. You can call it "electro" if you want, but this sound has been around for a good 20 years, and the presence of Mr. Jamie Principle ensures that it isn't going to stray too far from the soulful (the man could read a grocery list and still have people shouting "Amen!") This track with "Shake and Pop" put Cajual/Relief back in the big time in 2007, and both tracks can easily be put side-by-side with "Perculator", "Brighter Days" and the rest of Cajual's classic '90s material. "Peace" and "The Call" have a very hard sound, verging into full-fledged hard techno of the kind that Wintermute was famous for distributing in the past. "The Choice" on the other hand is very retro - you can almost see the box haircuts - and has a delicious little groove.
