Sometimes when you head out for a night, you get the same old, same old. Well, with Jason Kriveloff's (aka JKriv of Tortured Soul) new release, "Another Night", he's making sure it won't be just... another night! This initial track (both vinyl and digital to come!) on his brand new Deep&Disco Recordings label is a hit with five diverse offerings. The Social Disco Club Mix is an energetic and smooth musical romp with enough disco elements to make it pop while still being very accessible to all audiences. Adeline Michele (of Escorts fame) LEADS the silky vocals and are in lock step with JKriv's on-point production! Remaining in the same, uptempo (120 bpm) groove is the Social Disco Club Dub, not really a true dub but rather the same killer cut with more sparse and sexy vox by Adeline. Ethan White rounds out the uptempo selections with his Quiet Moments Mix, a groovalicious and House-inspired version that works.
Now, many of you Househeads need to take notice as I describe the three down tempo (107 bpm) mixes... I don't want to hear, "I don't play/listen to slower songs", because you WILL and you'll be glad you did! If you are not hip to the LEGENDARY (and I use the term intentionally) Greg Wilson... go to school and Google him - lesson delivered. Now, onto the Greg Wilson Version: this boogie-infused delight cruises along at 107 bpm and I guarantee it will have even the most sober of "non-dancers" swayin' and shoulder poppin'! Mathew Kyle's Mix is similarly down tempo with a real chunkiness to it and a vocal track that has been nicely dubbed to maximum effect. Don't shun the Original either, I heard/saw its debut live in New York... smokin'!
What a refreshing start to summer with a real song written, produced, and delivered by JKriv allowing you ANOTHER NIGHT of musical joy!
