Leonard Part Sixx :: "Strobelight Revival"
Review by Rees Urban | Published June 2008 | Review Archives
Terry Hunter's T's Box label is back in full force. This track has been working dancefloors for the past couple months since being promoted at WMC in March. This second release is a wicked follow-up to the first (R&B singer Glenn Lewis' "Stay With Me"). "Strobelight Revival" is reminiscent of early Giorgio Moroder works and has a sound many will appreciate. Leonard creates a synth driven dancefloor stormer here. Some heavily affected spoken word vocals nestle into the middle of the track, giving it everything it needs to make heads nod and hips move. The B side track is a remix by none other than Terry Hunter himself. Without losing the important elements of the original, Terry smooths it out a bit with some housier sounding drums and added keyboards.
