Mina Jackson :: "Feels So Good"
>>Omni Music Solutions

It figures: Terry Hunter seems to have a hand in just about every track I fall in love with by ear but don't have any information about. This is one of those tracks that sneaks up on you: you hear it one night, and then the next, and the next thing you know it's become the soundtrack of your life.

Three cuts are presented here. Terry Hunter's Main Mix is another classic, with a versatile sound that cuts across rigid subgenres. Fans of Deep House as well as a more energetic club sound will both fall in love with this mix. It follows a fairly traditional verse-chorus-verse song structure, but ramps up in intensity as the song progresses. The vocals start out fairly understated but by the end Ms. Jackson is cutting loose, and what starts out ten-miles deep has a serious hands-in-the-air finale.

One hit-maker teamed with a rising talent on vocals would be enough, but here you get a treat with two more mixes and an overdose of star power. Ron Carroll's BMC Vocal Mix sounds like a completely different song; this mix is up-tempo from the get-go. Terry's mix is getting heavy rotation as the invitation to a peak hour set, while Ron's I could see being ideal to close out a night, right before the lights go on.

Mike Dunn's Spoken Word instrumental mix is still another entirely different sound. The only "spoken words" are from Mike right at the start, and from there a heavy, funky groove pushes you right along.
