LCG Music

MVP is hot new collaboration between Peter Christianson, one half of Lawnchair Generals (LCG), and Luke McKeehan of Nordic Trax. Both have been major players on the House scene for many moons now and have teamed up to bring forth the first release on LCG Music that isn't solely by Lawnchair Generals. The title track starts off with some smooth analog synth stabs that keep building pressure through the first break. The drop after the first break is the sauce: a slammin' techy bassline groove that will just pound a nice club system ensues. First time I heard it I had to re-listen cuz my chair was making too much noise from the ass shaking that was going on. Next up, Carlos Mendoza - the other half of LCG - drops his take on "Music" with a stellar minimal tech time remix. Tons of great rhythm in this mix to make for some shake. Quite a departure from the more soulful and deep side of the LCG camp but top quality grooves nonetheless.

To finalize this release, LCG Music leaves us with a bonus beats mix of "Music" which is a nice, stripped-down version of the original groove.

All in all, this is another great release from our favorite House Music lawn care specialists. I'm not sure which is my favorite cut between the original mix and Doza's remix because they are both so hot. I recommend the whole package.
