Racquet Ball Club :: "Gravy"
>>Downtown161

"You are the gravy on my breakfast biscuit baby". This is the main line from Chicago's Racquet Ball Club produced by Bernard Badie and Big Ed with vocals by K LaDawn.

This song is tasty, scrumptious and ultra delicious. The vibe here is vocal deep house with energy and a slight late night disco feel. K LaDawn's vocals works this song nicely. Her delivery is extremely smooth.

Who would of thought that a song with the words "biscuits and gravy" would work on a dance floor? The reason behind is because the people behind this project are no strangers to House music. Bernard Badie a.k.a DJB has been releasing music since the '90s on labels such as his own DJB Records, Cajual and Distance U.K. He also is a seasoned veteran as a DJ, not only playing in Chicago but around the world as well.

Big Ed is no lightweight either in House music. Ed has released classic music with the Black Beatniks on labels such as Clubhouse, Cajual, his own Melodious Funk and Toolroom. Ed is also a co-writer for Barbara Tucker's classic "I Get Lifted".

This is Racquet Ball Club's first outing and very good one indeed. I look forward to more music by this talented team and you should too.
