Here's a new remix of "Happy" produced by George Jackson; the original was featured on the Southport Weekender Vol. 4 compilation disc a year ago. It's an uplifting tune with a rollicking horn section that doesn't stop. The cool thing here is that the horns aren't that brassy - and they don't need to be to sound good. This takes the best elements of old school funk and disco, lays them out like a deck of cards and shuffles them up again to make a whole new hand. RaShaan Houston's vocals work within the confines of the song and his flamboyant delivery works well with the tune.
