+ Rescue: The Dance Floor Authority EP
:: Audio Indika
Denver's Audio Indika returns with its third release after gaining much respect on the House scene for their chart blowing second release "Electric Lush" from Jonn Hawley. This time around they bring us Denver native Rescue who has been making some serious moves in the last year on the underground House scene. This new EP from Rescue is testament to his signature forward-thinking cut up'n'chunky style of production. The first cut on the EP, "Abstract Freak" locks phunkin'n'freakin' in the bedroom with only one thing in mind. The tune pumps and thumps with heavy beats, the horny horns, and vocal snips to make you freak on the dancefloor. The second cut, "All Nite Long" works the vocal hook like a high class hooker at the Playboy mansion, with such a catchy hook and great production that even Hef's old ass couldn't help but get down. On the remix duty is none other than myself, Frankie J. Is this a conflict of interest? I don't know, maybe ask your momma'n'them. My mix takes the original and puts a quirky take on it working in some bass overtones, and signature breakdown á la The Sound Republic days. The last tune "Make A Move" seals the deal nicely as it gets a bit deeper and wider. Deep bass quakes under a chopped salad of a vocal hook right on time for a drink and then off to the dancefloor to make some moves. Audio Indika wastes no effort in this release, coming consistent with quality House Music. Definitely keep your ears peeled for AI's upcoming releases.
