Something new and unexpected from Robert Strauss of Toronto. "Close Your Eyes" is a hot funk and disco-flavored track with a gorgeous vocal from Ms. Saidah Baba Talibah. It's hot, it's happy, it's something that you can sing along to while getting your grove on. The chorus is really infectuous and it's a great piece of songwriting. I wasn't feeling the flip, "Miami Jammin'", which pushes a kind of '80s Debarge kind of retro sound. To each his own, but the single, radio and instrumental edits of "Close Your Eyes" are more than worth it.
