What we have here is a track themed around, yes, you guessed it, Barack Obama's presidential nomination. The track has some old school Chicago sounding drums including dual claps with lots of reverb. "Dreams of Unity" comes complete with samples of one of House Music's most recognizable riffs, the hook of Jaydee's "Plastic Dreams", very appropriate to compliment the title. The track is showered with various parts of a motivating Obama speech about the alliance of the American nation and the "We hold these truths to be self-evident" of MLK for added assurance.
The highlight of the track is the crowd chant of "O-Ba-Ma" near the beginning and end, almost convincing the direction to cast your vote. The best thing about this track is it's a free download on Scott K's MySpace page at myspace.com/boxmusic. If Obama wins, it's not likely you will hear the end of this track anytime soon...
