Sound Between Movement
sean thomas erika guthrie for today

Sean Thomas and his Sound Between Movement label have been putting out deep, techy, and soulfully tinged House Music for the masses for a while now and his devotees clearly pay homage to his work. Sean's most recent collaboration is with the sultry "voiced", Erika Guthrie who is also becoming a Philly fav with three new cuts out now (the other two with Pete Moss and DJ Dennis). The original mix has a killer riff that hypnotically keeps you swayin' and bouncin' before Erika's vocal hits you deep and sexy! House veteran Pete Moss' Tasty Dub picks up the tempo and brings the vocals more upfront (I'm partial to that) and works the effects along with some killer drops and builds. Staying on the dub tip, Sean's Drumsong Dub (if you're in Philly, Drumsong is a killer monthly party) is a dark and moody journey through space tinged with EG's vocal snares. Finally, Warmth label's Dave Allison works his remix to full effect, dropping the tempo while uplifting the track's overall vibe with a slight retro appeal.
