+ DJ Sneak + Soydan: The Latin Kardes EP
:: Yakuza Recordings
Waterford, Ireland-based label Yakuza is hittin' to win with this fire release. Label boss Soydan teams up with House Music captain DJ Sneak for a super slammin' motion maker of a release. The release kicks off with "Fiesta Loca" which is a Latin-infused banger with a goofy vocal hook that grabs ya right in the earhole. Complete with a Sneak-style boompty bassline and tough beats, this track delivers that much needed punch on the dance floor. "Baba" is my favorite cut on the release as it is for sure a dance floor delight for those about to jack. From the intro on up, this tune builds through a menagerie of cut up samples and delivers with a jackin' electric piano loop that makes me start sweating just sitting in my chair listening to it. Next up is "Corazon" which is another Latin sample mash-up complete with horns and plenty of auxiliary rhythm to make some shake. The last cut on the release is "Ata", a down and dirty piano sample groove with rugged beats, and a driving bass line. Some added bloops and bleeps and a sample of some dude saying a bunch of crap I don't understand sets this tune apart to round out the EP. I am really impressed with this release from Yakuza which looks to be their biggest release to date.

+ Where Can I Find It?

This took some hunting around. Yakuza has a "coming soon" page on their website. I was eventually able to find a legit source via twitter at stompy (and it took four or five tries to come up with a link!) -tm
