Ralph Session is the conductor of this sampler on Seshified Recordings and he has definitely orchestrated a diverse mix of solid remixes. Always one of my favorites, Mr. V does his thing with his Remix of Ralph & Eman's "Release the Demons"! This cut does expertly tell, as Eman does so well, what the "call and response" between the DJ and audience is all about in a synthed-up and chuggy 126 bpm, with a few, perfectly placed Mr. V shouts! The '70s classic "Sugar Pie Guy" by The Joneses is given a great once-over by Mr. Session in "Say I really Need You". Retro but very much inclusive of the jackin' feel that many of our clubs demand today, it will definitely be something that we'll hear throughout the Fall and Winter.
Angel-A joins on vocals for the up-tempo "Take Me Away". The Main Mix is techy with a definite "club" feel whereas the Doc Link & Scott Wozniak Remix is smoother and really does more justice to Angel's vocals. However, be ready as there are several cross-overs and drops that will have you (and your audience) wondering what happened but then... wanting the next surprise to come. Ralph introduces Greg Serenade into the mix for the hit "Keep It Moving". The Main Mix is solid but has less energy than the DJN Remix which I favor. DJN Project does it properly includes their now de rigueur pumping chords and perfectly placed and featured vocals and Greg impresses there! All in all, I feel properly SHESHIFIED!
