+ Tarek: "Desabafo"
:: Grooveland Music
Grooveland is back with their first release since last year's "So Lonely" and related remixes. These guys take their House seriously, and "Desabafo" by Rio de Janeiro native Tarek of the Licksamba crew is the latest in an unbroken chain of outstanding releases. The original mix features a virtuoso guitar solo that could easily be the centerpiece of any song in any Latin genre, but is accompanied by a driving rhythm section turned way up in the mix. Henrique Fishi's mix is a deep slab of funk served in a more electric, up-tempo style. Shawn Ward's edit mixes Deep House with electro and is probably more at home in a straight-forward DJ set. John Kumahara's mix is the deepest of the batch with a few tech elements and some heavy reverb on the guitar.
