First of all, that's 9 words in just the artist's name. Ron Carroll had a point after all when he talked about producers pushing their name ahead of the performer - especially because there's no contest which outshines the other on this one. The production is choppy, alternating between disco with what sounds almost like Hal Roach-style drums - wild and all over the place and flailing away behind a tight horn section. The vocal, on the other other, is AMAZING. Only one mix of this is out now, which is a shame because I would kill for an accapella or even a more straightforward arrangement. Just get out of the way because Jennifer Wallace sings her heart out on this!
+ Where Can I Find It?
Note: the above review was written on the basis of a single-mix release, which is still listed as such on traxsource.com. Two other remixes - by DJ Spen and Grant Nelson - are available for purchase according to the clickgroove.com release info. If that was intentional, I'm even more confused. Grant Nelson's remix is embedded below. -tm
