What a brilliant collabo! Todd Terry, Roland Clark and Terry Hunter on ONE project! "Hot" is a feel-good jam just in time for the summer, a fun and infectious groove that stays in your head well after the song stops. And I dare not call this a "song", but a "groove" in every sense, as there's no singing involved... Rather a male narration of a sort, with a chanted hook, reminiscent of The Jungle Brothers' "I'll House You". Check out DJ DM's mix for a familiar disco-sample flava; Terry Hunter's mix has his signature Deep House sound (my favorite), and Todd Terry's mix, in a word: renaissance!
