Music should, and most times does, make us happy! Tom Conrad along with everyone's vocal diva, Dawn Tallman, makes us "So Happy" with this new promo on Adaptation Music. Kenny Carvajal starts this ten mix set (I guess Adaptation doesn't want to cheat us on remixes) with his Habitat Vocal which is a straight-out, soulful vocal romp... 'nuff said! Okay, let's get deep and dirty with Satoshi Fumi's Vocal Mix that inserts hot piano highlights throughout! His Dub keeps you on the same tip nicely using dub FX and pops of Dawn's vocals... making you want more. The Trancemicsoul Underground Mix eases you into the journey with swirling instrumentation and with Tallman telling the story of why/how she got... SO HAPPY. The Trancemicsoul Underground Dub doesn't cheat you on the vocals; rather it uses Dawn's vocal stabs to punctuate this hypnotic track. The only cut that picks up the pace (from 123 to 125 bpm) is Cassady Locke's Remix which makes you SO HAPPY in a harder (but not necessarily less soulful) way. Of the three instrumentals included, the Trancemicsoul Underground Instrumental, with its harder-edged, tech-laden feel, and dub effects... would be my choice to play... although, knowing me, I'd play an accapella or two over it! As you can gather, Tom and Dawn made me... SO HAPPY.
