Vick Lavender ft. Carla Prather :: "Respect Our Love"

And the name of Vick Lavender's new label is... Sophisticado. This deep house single is currently turning a lot of heads. The beat is hot, and how many times have I told people that all a really good song needs to make it great is a really funky slap bass? It's here and pushed forward in the mix for maximum effect. And as far as the vocal is concerned, I had to double-check to make sure I had this right. I've never heard Carla Prather sing this way - her vocals are higher pitched than usual but just as smooth, and she really brought her A game to play on this. The array of instruments and musicianship here (I believe it's a xylophone solo here) is what you can expect from a Vick Lavender production. Highly recommended with my personal congratulations from all involved for reaching down deep and pulling out something extra in the studio session.
