This is one track I have been playing down at Betty's for the past few Sundays and this never fails. "Lifting" is an energy track with very touching soulful vocals. The thing I like the most is that this song has a basic song structure that builds up to a climax with each chorus. This is one element I rarely hear in most dance records today. The climax of this song reaches straight for your soul.

Warren Clarke's original packs the heat, but to me, the Mark Grant with his deeper approach does it best without competing with the vocal. The chords and the sounds used lean a little bit on the futuristic side but still remains in the pocket of Deep House. Mr. Grant worked his magic very well with this one. Don't sleep! This is a hot one!
