Wil Milton + Rodney Carter :: "Don't Let Go"
>>Blak Ink Music

The duo that brought you the "Songbook of Love" is at it again with this lovely and earnestly uplifting tune on the Blak Ink Music Group imprint.

And it could not have come to light at a better time. What, with all of the foulness out there that we are reminded of daily, this piece, with its virtuous directive to not "let go," is right on point (in addition to local tragedies, life during wartime can be a bitch, whether one wants to ignore it or not!)

The song is really buoyed by the inspiring lyrics, as well as the glossy production by Milton. And the sultry, sincere vocals laid down by Carter don't hurt, either. The beauty of this song is that it did what it set out to do - nothing more, nothing less. To be sure, you probably won't see any breakneck jacking going on to it. That's ok, however, because this should get a good response when well placed into a set. Besides, folks can just wait and go nuts on the countless remixes that should follow.
