Xaviera Gold :: "Walkin' Out Da Door" (MCM Remix)
Review by Terry Matthew | Published December 2007 | Review Archives
Divas love to work with producer George Jackson, and this track is a good indication why. "Walkin' Out Da Door" is probably Xaviera Gold's hottest single since at least "Gonna Get Back to You" (with Masters at Work) or even her signature tune, the Ralphi Rosario-produced "You Used to Hold Me". This remix has an aggressive beat and Xaviera's singing has the in-your-face delivery that only the most confident vocalists can manage. Her voice fills up the track and she's able to hold a single note longer than a lesser singer can hold their breath. As a producer, George arranges all of the elements to make this an instant classic, from the simple but infectious groove that packs the dancefloor to the high energy that keeps them out there moving. This is a peak hour stomp and one of the most indispensible tracks for a House DJ to have in his collection.
