:: Rumble Pack
Whether it was Rumble Pack or Yameen, this impressed the hell out of me. First, the marketing: this is a good ole' fashioned single - no fluff, no filler, just two killer remixes by UK groove monster Mark De Clive-Lowe, one a vocal and one instrumental. This is in preparation for the full-length album from Yameen called Never Knows More. As a promotional tool hardly new to music but like a Rosetta Stone in House, they also introduced a promo video on YouTube of MdCL doing the step-by-step mixing. Whether you're just a fan interested in learning about this stuff or a competitor looking for some tips, this was interesting to check out. And the music doesn't disappoint either. The vocal mix is fierce, with slightly tinged disco and R&B beats.
+ Where Can I Find It?
Unlike 90% of the artists we come across in House Music, both Yameen and Mark de Clive-Lowe maintain fantastic sites with information on this track and the rest of what they're up to. "Light of Love" can be previewed and purchased at Traxsource, and listened to in its entirety at MdCL's imeem.com page. -tm
