Welcome back to 5 Magazine's New Mix Monday, our weekly DJ mix series featuring the greatest House Music DJs on the planet.

For our 5 Year Anniversary Issue, we decided to pay tribute this month to pay tribute to four of the many Chicago DJs who are gettin' down and dirty in this city - working in the trenches, so to speak - and playing a multitude of venues, in every part of the city, in front of different crowds to keep House Music alive.

This week, we're featuring Craig Alexander (facebook, myspace, discogs). Craig has been a staple in the Chicago House scene for 20 years, first as a promoter and now as a DJ and producer. He's released music on Dust Traxx, Track Mode, his own Oblique Records and Unified Records, but - and more to the point here - he's absolutely everywhere as DJ in this town, from out-of-the-way lounges to places like Zentra, Green Dolphin and SmartBar.
