Chicago's own DJ/Producer George Jackson, aka DJ George J (myspace, discogs) is one of the unsung heroes of House Music in the world. He was the long time label manager for Steve "Silk" Hurley's Silk Entertainment. In addition to cranking out tunes for Silk, he has also released music on Peppermint Jam, Bumpin' City and his own Ruff'N'Tuff Records. As a producer and songwriter, he's collaborated frequently with top vocalists such as Xaviera Gold, CeCe Peniston, RaShaan Houston and more.
