From Argentina, Jay West (website, facebook, myspace, discogs, label) is among the absolute elite figures in House Music from South America. His releases have come under a handful of aliases (Pushing Boundaries with Matt Shrewd, Western Union, Shanty Town, The Golosines) and with numerous collaborators; perhaps the best known is The Candy Dealers.

His signature funky style has been featured on released from Agave, Alphabet, Flapjack, Flavor, Drop Music, Lost My Dog and his own label, Candy Music, which is home of his latest release, "Funny Things" featuring Ingrid Hakanson. As a DJ, Jay has played at clubs ranging from Pacha in Buenos Aires to international spots in Belgium, South Africa, New York, London, Los Angeles, Tokyo, Budapest, Melbourne, Beijing and more. This month marks Jay's return to Creamfields Buenos Aires (one of the biggest events in the world, with more than 60,000 people in attendance).
