Welcome to this week's edition of New Mix Monday, 5 Magazine's signature DJ mix series, giving you a new mix every week from some of the stars of House Music as well as Chicago's up-and-coming talent.

When I asked Mike Dunn if he could contribute a mix for this month's issue, he asked what style we wanted. "I wouldn't tell Picasso how to paint" I said, and that was my only possible response. Mike's delivered with 1:18:28 of a mix he calls For Tha Soul, From Tha Soul, with tracks ranging from DJ Spen, Jovann and his own "That's How Dadah Got Down" to a couple of new discoveries I'd never heard before. The full playlist is below.

Those of us in Chicago are lucky enough to be able to catch Mike at one of the city's strongest residencies every Tuesday night at The New Reynolds (938 E. 75th). His Congregation EP Vol 3 dropped on Defected Records in March and ought to be burning in your crate right now. And since we've gone to press, he's also released the single "Deep Down (The Underground)" on Fluential in late April.

Drop him a line and show some love at myspace.com/therealmikedunn.
