Welcome back to 5 Magazine's New Mix Monday, our weekly DJ mix series featuring the greatest House Music DJs on the planet.

This week we're featuring a brand new mix from Dave Pezzner (facebook, discogs, twitter). The Seattle-based producer has deep roots in House. His previous group, Jacob London, was formed in 1992 with partner Bob Hansen and released dozens of eccentric House and breakbeat records on labels such as Derrick Carter's Classic, Doubledown, and Justin Long's .dotbleep.

As a solo artist, Pezzner has broken through in the last two years with widely acclaimed (and increasingly immitated) releases on OM, Physical Graffiti and most of all his deeply influential and experimental EPs on Freerange. The latest cut from Pezzner on Freerange is The Tracks Are Alive 12", out now on beatport and junodownload.
