Welcome to this week's edition of New Mix Monday, 5 Magazine's signature DJ mix series. This Monday, we're featuring a "classic mix" by Detroit's Terrence Parker.

Terrence has more than 100 productions under his belt since 1988 and his music has brought him around the world. He's particularly noted for his array of DJ tricks including scratching and other artistry and his use of an old school telephone receiver in place of headphones. We picked a mix that would highlight his scratch mastery as well as his deft hand on the turntable.

Of course, Terrence is featured on the cover of this month's issue of 5 Magazine, and 5 Magazine and House Arrest will be bringing him out on Friday, May 1st to Zentra (923 W.
