Johnny Fiasco

+ Bio: With Derrick Carter, Diz, Lego and others, Johnny Fiasco was part of the second generation of club DJs that put Chicago's House scene back on the map in the early 1990s. After growing up in the near Southside Pilsen neighborhood, he was an important factor in the burgeoning underground house party and loft scene before moving on to play most of the seminal club spots, starting in 1988 with his residency at Smart Bar and followed by regular gigs at Shelter and Red Dog. His 1991 track "Zig Zag" (with Chunkabud) put him on the map as a producer; he's since gone on to produce dozens of tracks (often characterized by his signature acid sound) and remix probably hundreds more.
